Larry Berg, 88, of Bismarck, has been collecting coins since he was 11 years old in 1948.
He said he began collecting coins because his father had a peanut machine route and had collected half a cigar box of Indian head cents.
Berg started dealing in coins when he was in college in 1954. He collects and deals in coins, tokens, bullion and world bank notes.
Berg and his wife, who sells jewelry, were at the Minot Coin Club show held Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4-5.
Dealers came to the coin show from several states and the price of silver and gold was one of the hot topics.
