Kylee Reviere, 20, Watford City, driving a 2023 Ford F-150, was going north when she lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center line into the southbound lane. A 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Fernando Ponce, 42, Fairview, Montana, and a 2022 Ford F-250 driven by Juan Alonso Carillo, 30, Watford City, were subsequently struck by the two F-150s.

Reverie and Wilson had minor injuries and were taken to McKenzie County Health. Ponce and Carillo were not injured.

On Tuesday at about 8 a.m., four vehicles were involved in a property crash on N.D. Highway 23, about eight miles east of Watford City. No one was injured. Drivers of a 2019 Ford-250 and a 2024 Ram 2500 and a passenger in one of the vehicles were not in their stopped vehicles at the time of the incident and were not injured. The driver of a 2011 Kenworth semi was not injured.

According to the Highway Patrol, one of the vehicles broke down leaving an enclosed trailer it was pulling in the lane of travel. The driver of the other vehicle stopped to assist. The semi pulling a side dump attempted to avoid one of the vehicles, trying to get back into the eastbound lane of the highway and then struck the trailer attached to one of the vehicles.
