Benefit run to aid local family
The F.U.G.G.S./Pour Farm annual cancer benefit run will be held Saturday, with proceeds going to assist a family whose infant was born with mesocardia and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
Nathen and Becky Schweitzer’s son, Orrin, was born Jan. 23 in Minot and was flown to Fargo, where testing discovered his bowel, spleen and intestines were lying on his left lung. He had two surgeries and was on a ventilator for a time. He was discharged from the hospital Feb. 20. Proceeds of the run will assist the family with medical and related expenses.
Registration begins at 11 a.m., with kickstands up at noon at the Pour Farm. Food will be served at the Pour Farm after the run.
