Two injured in Max crash

William Lone Fight, 54, New Town, and a passenger in the vehicle he was driving, 82-year-old Edward Lone Fight, New Town, were both transported by ambulance to Trinity Hospital in Minot following a two-vehicle crash near Max.

The accident occurred at 1 p.m. Sunday one mile north of Max when the eastbound 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe driven by William Lone Fight was attempting to turn northbound on U.S. Highway 83 and was struck by a 2011 Ford F-150 driven by Jacob Waltz, 18, Belgrade, Minn. Neither Waltz nor a passenger in his vehicle, Ridge Stratton, 19, Surrey, were injured.

William Lone Fight was cited for driving without a license and failing to yield the right of way at an intersection marked with a stop sign.
