Marie Claire Cadwalader, 23, of Minot, has been charged in district court in Minot with Class A felony child abuse involving a victim under the age of 6 who has suffered permanent loss or impairment.

According to an online court record, the alleged offense woccurred on Aug. 21, 2019, but the charge was not filed with the court until April 15, 2021.

Cadwalader made an initial appearance on the charge on Tuesday before Judge Todd Cresap. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for May 24 before Cresap.
