Ward County employee tests positive for COVID-19

A Ward County employee has tested positive for COVID-19, according to information from the Ward County Emergency Management Office.

The employee had attended the Ward County Commission meeting held on Aug. 4. The employee is in quarantine. All close contacts have been identified and notified in accordance with North Dakota Department of Health guidelines.

Ward County has the following meeting precautions in place due to COVID-19:

– Social distancing at meetings.

– Opportunities for virtual attendance through livestreams to the public via the Ward County website at https://www.co.ward.nd.us/

– Hand sanitizer stations outside the meeting room.

– Extra cleaning of the meeting room.

The public also is welcome to wear masks in the building and at meetings.
