Sawyer water back to normal

Sawyer residents are once again being supplied water by North Prairie Rural Water District, according to a press release from Larry Haug, Ward County 911 coordinator and public information officer.

Haug said that work was completed late Thursday afternoon, resulting in water from North Prairie once again entering the reservoir. Sawyer’s well service has again been switched off, but will continue to be maintained in the event the city ever needs to utilize the well water again. No boil orders will be required for this transition, as the water lines have maintained the necessary pressure since late last week.

A water main break was reported last week. The break was repaired but a problem with the city’s water reservoir caused a delay in restoring normal water service.
