Discovery Center opens Wednesday
The Magic City Discovery Center, a temporary children’s museum in Minot, will open for its second season on Wednesday in the Dakota Territory Air Museum. The season will run until the end of March 2016.
New exhibits this year include “Get the Message,” a large exhibit about communication throughout the years, a giant light bright, a “Whoosh” and Po-Motion interactive floor games. Returning exhibits from last year include a magnetic wall, a wind tunnel, kinetic sand and a toddler area.
The Magic City Discovery Center will be open Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $4 per person with a maximum of $15 per family. Children younger than a year old get free admission.
The Discovery Center will be able to accommodate field trips on Tuesdays for schools, child-care facilities or other groups. Field trips can be scheduled by emailing minotplay@srt.com.
