The Catholic Foundation for the People of the Diocese of Bismarck, which for over the past six years has served the Catholic people and entities with its charitable giving, has a new name: Catholic Foundation of Western North Dakota, according to a press release from the diocese. Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot, will host a Family Day and MJM7 concert at the church on Sunday, Sept. 8. Awana Club starts Sept. 4 at First Baptist

First Baptist Church of Minot will kick off their Awana Clubs on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 6:30 p.m. for children who are age 3 by July 31 and youth through the 8th grade. Awana is a nondenominational ministry where children and youth learn important truths from God’s word, memorize Scripture, play games and have fun. Awana meets Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Parents can register their child for Awana at fbcminot.org or by contacting the church office at 852-4533.
