Homeownership program eligibility limits updated

BISMARCK – North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) announced it has adjusted eligibility limits for programs that assist state residents, typically first-time buyers, with a home purchase. Applications for the 2026 North Dakota State Parade in Minot will close on Sunday, June 21, at 11:59 p.m. The entry application form is available at ndsparade.com. Twyla Scott, parade chairman, said as of Friday, June 12, there are 204 entries in the parade. The 44th parade, with the theme, "Honoring 250 years of Heroes," will be held Saturday, July 18. Minot woman sentenced in tribal wire fraud scheme

BISMARCK — Ranita Lynn Freeman, 32, Minot, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Bismarck to serve 42 months in federal prison for stealing from accounts managed by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Trust Funds Administration, United States Attorney Nicholas Chase announced on June 16. According to Chase, Freeman is one of three individuals sentenced in two separate schemes.
