To celebrate the Magic City and give back to the community, First Western Bank is holding a community appreciation event on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Scandinavian Heritage Park. This event is open to everyone in the Minot community.
First Western is offering all activities and food at the event free of charge. Hot dogs and burgers will be served, courtesy of Marketplace Foods. There will also be bounce houses, face painting, miniature golf, hands-on activities for children by Magic City Discovery Center, ice cream and more. First Western also will be giving away a $500 Marketplace Foods gift card. Additionally, the event will serve as a platform for First Western's “Essentials for Learning” snack drive, an initiative aimed at helping to provide nutritious snacks for Minot's elementary schools. Attendees are encouraged to bring individually wrapped donations of non-perishable snacks, such as granola bars, goldfish crackers, pretzels, trail mix, fruit leathers or unsweetened applesauce. A designated donation bin will be available at the event.
"We're incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and trust the Minot community has shown First Western Bank throughout the years," said Brenda Foster, president/CEO of First Western Bank. "This event is our way of saying thank you and giving back to the people who help make Minot the special place it is - The Magic City."
