Carrington student wins video award

CARRINGTON Cedar Anderson, Carrington, is the state winner of Bremer Bank’s Lights, Camera, Save! video contest.

Anderson submitted a video called “Cash Queen” and received $500 as the state winner.

She will now compete on the national level for a chance to win a $5,000 scholarship, plus an opportunity for a teacher from her school to attend the 2016 Jump$tart National Educator Conference in Washington.

Sponsored by the American Bankers Association Foundation, Lights, Camera, Save! is a national, bank-driven competition that encourages teens to use video to communicate the value of saving, as well as to inspire others to become lifelong savers. Students from the ages of 13 to 18 are eligible to enter the contest by producing and submitting 90-second videos, which are then judged on their quality, message and appeal to other teens.

More information about the contest can be found on Bremer.com.
