The MInot State women’s basketball team are still in search of their first non-exhibition win as they return home for two back-to-back games against the Montana State University Billings Yellowjackets and the Bismarck State College Mystics at the MSU Dome on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and Wednesday, Nov. 19, respectively.

The Beavers will face the Yellowjackets first on Wednesday for the fifth season in a row and only their second home game against Montana State University Billings in franchise history. The Beavers’ only victories against the Yellowjackets team were in 1998 and 2011. After their 2011 matchup, the teams didn’t face off again until the 2021-2022 season. The last four matchups against the Yellowjackets ended with losses, with only one game ending with a single digit score difference. Minot State junior guard Maya Aguilar currently leads the Beavers in scoring, totalling 54 points over the course of the season, averaging 13.5 points per game. The Beavers will play the Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

After their Wednesday night game against the Yellowjackets, the Beavers will face off against the Bismarck State College Mystics for the first time since the 1994-1995 season. This season is the Mystics’ first in the NAIA. They have only played one game this season against the No. 9 ranked Dakota Wesleyan, where they lost 81-43. Senior Kennedy Stormer was the Mystics’ top scorer for the game with 17 points. The Beavers’ game against the Mystics will open at the Minot State Dome at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
