MHS announces class of 2025 Hall of Fame inductees

Minot High School announced their class of 2025 hall of fame inductees into the Minot High Athletic Hall of Fame.
The list of inductees includes Morgan Milbrath of the class of 2013, Jami Glick and Brock Skarsgaard of the class of 2002, Coach Lisa Sinjem, Isak Tengesdal of the class of 2007, Jeff Brandt of the class of 1999, Julie Winje of the class of 1987 and Holly Johnson of the class of 2012.
Morgan Milbrath was chosen as an inductee for her efforts as a member of the school’s track & field team. She was a North Dakota state finalist and winner of Wendy’s High School Heisman award. She was the runner-up in the North Dakota state 400 meter dash and still holds the record for the fastest 100 meter, 200 meter and 400 meter dash in Minot High history.
Jami Glick is being inducted into the hall of fame for her contributions to the basketball and track & field teams. She was team MVP in basketball in her sophomore, junior and senior year as well as team captain in her junior and senior years. She was three-time all-conference and three-time all-state athlete and three-time West Region Player of the Year. She was also named North Dakota Player of the Year her senior year in 2002.. She was named NDHSCA Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year that same year. She is the all-time leading scorer in girls’ basketball for Minot High. Her most points earned in a single season was 406 and her most assists was 84. In track & field, Glick was that triple jump state champion in 1999 and set the school record with a jump of 37 feet 1.5 inches. She was state runner-up in triple jump in 2000 and 2001 and took third place in state in 2002.
Coach Lisa Sinjem was coach of the Minot High volleyball team and her work helped lay the foundation for the Majettes volleyball program’s long-term success. Coach Sinjem was the West Region Coach of the Year in 1990, 1993 and 2000 and was North Dakota State Coach of the Year in 1993 and 1996.

Jami Glick
Isak Tengesdal was nominated for his achievements as part of the Magi’s soccer and hockey teams. In soccer, Tengesdal was the Gatorade North Dakota Boys Soccer Player of the Year and was the RISE Magazine North Dakota Soccer Player of the Year in 2006. That same year, he was named as the North Dakota Coaches Senior Athlete of the Year. He was a First Team All-State player and a member of the State Championship team in 2006. In hockey, he was named a member of the West Region’s First Team in 2006.
Jeff Brandt graduated from Minot High in 1999 and was nominated for induction into the hall of fame for his work on the boys’ basketball team. He was an All-WDA player in 1997 and 1998. He was also First Team All-State in 1999 as well as Class A Senior Player of the Year and North Dakota’s Mr. Basketball that same year.
Julie Winje was a member of the gymnastics team and the track team during her time at Minot High. In gymnastics, Winje was the state champion on the uneven bars in 1987 and took second place all-around in state that same year. She was a multi-event state placer and member of the State & WDA Championship Teams. In track, Winje was the state champion in long jump in 1985 and competed for the University of Minnesota where she was a two-time Big Ten Team Champion.
Holly Johnson was named Miss basketball in her senior year for her efforts on the Majettes girls’s basketball team. She was named the Gatorade North Dakota Player of the Year in 2012 and the Powerade Senior Athlete of the Year that same year. She was a two-time All-State and three-time All-WDA basketball player and a two-time member of a state tournament team. Johnso was also an All-State player in volleyball in 2011.
Brock Skarsgard was nominated for induction for his time on Minot High’s boys’ swim team. He was a three-time All-State swimmer and two-time All-American swimmer. He was North Dakota Senior Swimmer of the Year in 2002 and a four-time state champion in individual swimming events. He was a three-time swim relay state champion and set records in the 200 and 400 meter free relays in his senior year.

The Minot High Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in the Minot High School Commons Area at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.
