Former Minotauro inks pro contract
Ondrej Pavel, who played with the Minot Minotauros during the 2017-18 season, saw a lifelong dream come to fruition on Thursday afternoon.
The forward signed a professional contract with the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche, following his college career with the Minnesota State University, Mankato Mavericks.
In 48 regular season games during his 2017-18 campaign in Minot, Pavel posted 18 points on eight goals and 10 assists.
During a run to the Robertson Cup Championship that same year, Pavel saw action in 12 playoff games, where he posted two goals and four assists for a total of six points with the Minotauros.
At the collegiate level, Pavel appeared in 94 games with the Mavericks, where he posted a total of 41 points on 18 goals and 23 assists.
