Thanks to a pair of shutout performances, Maddie Kindred of the Beavers soccer program will not be denied of adding an accolade to her name in the early goings of the 2022 season. On Monday, it was announced that Kindred was named the NSIC Goalie of the Week.

While the honors span across the Beavers last two games, Kindred has put together a streak of three shutouts in a row, with two of them playing a vital role in the Beavers first wins of the season.

Kindred got her perfect week started by making nine saves in a 1-0 win over Southwest Minnesota at home on Friday. As the encore of that performance, Kindred made one save in a 0-0 tie against Sioux Falls on Sunday.

As Kindred looks to keep the streak alive and the Beavers look to keep adding wins, the team will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 23 when they head to Winona State for a 5 p.m. match.

The first two road games for the Beavers have ended in ties as the team will look to turn the page and pick up their first road win of the season.
