Minot St. baseball to play at Winona State on Wednesday

The Minot State University baseball team was set to host Winona State University on Wednesday at Corbett Field, but due to unplayable weather, the home midweek doubleheader has been moved to Loughrey Field in Winona, Minnesota. The first pitch of Game 1 is scheduled for 12 p.m.

This marks the second site switch of the season and the first home series to be moved for the Beavers this year. Previously, the University of Sioux Falls was forced by bad weather to play its home series at Corbett Field, and now Minot State has lost a home series due to poor conditions.

MSU enters the series 12-7 overall and 10-4 in conference play. The Beavers are sitting in fourth place in the NSIC after taking two-of-three from No. 15 Minnesota State-Mankato over the weekend.

The games are scheduled for 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Game 1 will be a seven-inning affair, while Game 2 will be a nine-inning matchup. It remains a home series for the Beavers despite changing sites. After competing at Winona State, MSU plans to return home to face the University of Mary on Wednesday, April 21. That doubleheader is slated to start at 1:30 p.m.

In other scheduling news, the MSU women’s soccer team canceled its Monday road game against the University of Mary. With a season mark of 4-3, Minot State plans to play its next game at Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday, April 17. Start time for that game has yet to be determined.
