Nodak Speedway cancels Opening Night races

Due to weather concerns, Nodak Speedway has canceled the races for Opening Night this Sunday. There will still be a test and tune/practice session held on Sunday at the track from noon to 6 p.m. and that will be open to the public with free grandstand seating admission.

“After discussions with the fair and reviewing the weather forecast it was mutually agreed upon to postpone Opening Night to Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12th,” Nodak Speedway President Brandon Beeter said on the track’s Facebook page. “We will be hosting a test and tune/practice from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday May 5th and the grandstands will be open to the public to watch but there will not be public restrooms or concessions available. We can’t wait to see everyone back at the Nodak Speedway for the 2019 season.”

Those that have already purchased tickets online or at Xpress Mart can exchanged them at the will call window for any regularly priced night at the races this year.

The races on May 12 are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. with IMCA Hobby Stocks, Sport Mods, Stock Cars, Sport Compacts and Modifieds in attendance.
