Gender affirming care is anything but

Philip Weigel, Minot

I’m writing this as a response to the letter written by Danial S. Sturgill and all of the supposed Health Care professionals who wrote in support of his letter.

Gender Affirming Care is simply a nice way of saying “we’re going to castrate your children and chop up their bodies.”

Do you know what “gender affirming care” entails for children?

It entails using puberty blockers, which have permanent side-effects on children. To put it in perspective, imagine trying to drive your car after removing all the oil from it. That’s what puberty blockers do to children. One of the most popular puberty blockers is Lupron, which is used to chemically castrate sex offenders and the FDA has warned that two others, which are very popular for puberty blocking run a high risk of brain swelling and loss of vision.

But beyond that, let’s say that a child goes through with this and transitions to the other gender. What does that entail?

For boys, it’s pretty simple, they surgically remove the boy’s reproductive organs and implant a fake female reproductive organ in its place. Does anyone talk about how this often gets infected, the stink is unbearable and how it hurts to simply urinate?

For girls? It’s far more insidious. First, they have to have a double mastectomy, a surgery for women who have breast cancer. Anyone who’s gone through that knows what it can do to you mentally.

Next, they need certain… Parts added to their bodies. How do they do this?

By literally removing parts of the girl’s arms and legs, flaying their skin off, to give them a tube down there so they can urinate.

The images of the surgeries are disturbing and disgusting to look at. And the after-effects of botched surgeries are even more-so.

The amount of people who signed onto that letter sure makes it seem like this is based in solid science and that we should all be okay with it. But it’s not.

In fact, every single person who signed onto that letter should be immediately disbarred from working as a child health expert again, for they are causing harm to children, not taking care of them.

The transgender movement is simply the Eugenics movement all over again. History looks back at the Eugenics movement as a horrible thing and for good reason. How will history look back at the transgender movement if it’s allowed to continue?

Leave children alone and let them grow up and explore themselves at their own pace.

With this in mind, I recommend that everyone call North Dakota lawmakers and vote “YES” on HB1254.
