Arlene Butauski, 77, Minot, ND, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Mountrail County Medical Center, Stanley.

Arlene Ann Adamczyk was born September 13, 1947, the daughter of Roman and Mildred (Bartol) Adamczyk, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was raised and educated in Cleveland, attending Collinwood High School, and later graduating from St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1968.

Arlene was a dedicated registered nurse for 50 years. She devoted her career to caring for others, working in the Oncology Department.

On September 10, 1971, she married the love of her life, John E. Butauski. Together, they made their home in Cleveland and were blessed with two wonderful children, Adam and Amanda. After John’s passing in 2012, Arlene relocated to Minot.

Arlene was incredibly friendly and could make friends anywhere. She had the ability to talk to anyone. She enjoyed reading, traveling, puzzles, and playing cards. She was also artistic.

Her loving family includes: children, Adam (Kathryn) Butauski, Amanda (Christopher) Vera; grandchildren, Evan Vera, Penelope Vera, Virginia Butauski, John T. Butauski. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John E. Butauski.
