Christine “Chris” Marilyn Brangan of College Place, Wash. passed away in her home on February 11, 2024. Chris was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Allister and Jessie (Scobbie) Macdiarmid on November 7, 1949.
She married Dave Brangan on March 4, 1978 in Anchorage, Alaska. She worked as the fiscal manager in the American Russian Center at the University of Alaska in Anchorage until her retirement in 2006. Chris was an accomplished dancer, especially of Scottish Highland, ballroom and ballet. She loved the theater, singing karaoke with friends and travel, especially cruising. Her wit and sense of humor endeared her to everyone while her courage and love for others was an example to all. Her love for Jehovah God compelled her to encourage others to learn of him through a study of the Holy Scriptures. She had been a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses since April 11, 1981. Chris is preceded in death by her mother, father and sister.
She is survived by her husband Dave Brangan, her daughters Michaela and Kamilah Brangan, her son
Jonathan Brangan, her brother Donnie MacDiarmid, and her grandson Holden Alering. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’sWitnesses located at 1234 N. Clinton Street in Walla Walla, Washington.
