Gail Sundsbak, 77, Surrey, ND, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in her home.

Gail Wager was born on May 26, 1946, a daughter of Stewart and Kathleen (Clancy) Wager in Hanley, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was raised and educated in Hanley. After moving to the United States and becoming a citizen, Gail worked as a dispatcher for the Daniels County Police Department for several years. She moved to North Dakota in 1993 and completed her GED.

Gail was a wonderful mother and loving grandmother. She would do anything for her four children Tammy Dea, Chandra, Courtney, and Crystal.

On June 14, 1995 Gail was united in marriage to Jack Sundsbak in Minot. They made their home in Surrey, ND, where Gail worked as a security Guard at the Burdick Job Corps Center.

She enjoyed spending time outdoors creating beautiful gardens, and making home improvements. She was a wonderful artist and loved to paint pictures of the landscapes. She loved spending her time visiting her grandchildren and attending their various activies, it brought her much joy to see them grow up.

She is survived by:

Children: Tammy Dea Wager, Chandra (Quentin) Schmidt, Courtney (Jessica) Hill, Crystal Knecht; nineteen grandchildren: thirteen great-grandchildren: step-children; Tracy (Scott) Erickson, Amy (Brian) Green: Siblings: Frank (Maureen) Wager, Myrna (Peter) Huzan; In-laws: Karen (Tony) Tudahl and Kelly Sundsbak (Jim Norlin);Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Morris and Shirley.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal as cremation has taken place, however, people may sign a guest register on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 one hour prior to the service at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Memorial Service: Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11 am at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Burial: A private family committal service will take place in the spring of 2024 at the Des Lacs Community Cemetery, Des Lacs, ND
