Theresa “Terry” Gruenberg
May 13, 1934 – August 23-2022
Terry Gruenberg passed
away peacefully in her
home in Anchorage, Alas-
ka after a week of hospice
care. She had moved to
Alaska last October from
Minot, ND to be closer to
family.
Terry was born in Kra-
mer, ND to Ted and Rose
Naumann. She spent most
of her life in Minot, ND,
and also lived in Roches-
ter and Minneapolis, MN
and Sioux Falls, SD.
Terry’s occupation was
in administration. She
worked as a Medical Ser-
vices Accounts Officer for
the Air Force Hospital in
Minot, and later as a re-
ceptionist for an
orthopedic surgeon. She
said that “of all the jobs
she had, the most satisfy-
ing and the one that fills
me with the most pride
was being a MOM. To
raise children and to see
them take flight to their
own destinations in life is
the most rewarding thing
a mom can do. And then
to be further rewarded by
new generations of
grandchildren and great
grandchildren is the ulti-
mate satisfaction.”
Her special interests
were baseball, politics,
history and reading.
She is survived by son
and daughter-in-law Steve
and Michelle Kruse of Ea-
gle River and daughter
Karlene Johnson of Ply-
mouth, MN, and
grandchildren Mike
Kruse, Mark Kruse, Dus-
tin Trice, Danielle Trice,
Justin Gruenberg and Josh
Gruenberg, and great
grandchildren Renner,
Steele, Ezekiel, Rekker,
Charlie, Kale and Jacob.
Terry was proceeded in
death by her parents Ted
and Rose Naumann, her
first husband Donald
Kruse, second husband
Fred Gruenberg, step-son
Robert Gruenberg and
son-in-law Monte John-
son.
She wished to be buried
with her husband Fred at
the North Dakota Veterans
Cemetery in Mandan.
