Basil C. Talley

Basil C. Talley, 92,

Minot, ND, formerly of

Glenburn, ND, passed

away Monday, June 6,

2022, at his residence.

Basil Conrad Talley was

born on July 26, 1929 in

Glenburn, ND to William

B. and Rose A. (Opsal)

Talley. He attended a

country school first

through fifth grade then

attended Glenburn School

until graduation. Follow-

ing graduation he furth-

ered his education at

Minot State University for

two years.

Basil started farming in

1952 and farmed until

1991 when he retired. He

lived on the farm until

2006 when he moved to

Minot.

When he was farming

he was a member of

Renville-Bottineau Crop

Improvement Association

and the Renville County

Weed Board. He was also

the Ensign Township As-

sessor for a few years. For

many years he was a com-

munity committee man

on Renville A.S.E.S.

He was a member of the

First Baptist Church in

Glenburn, he had served

as Trustee and an usher.

He was also a member of

the Minot Moose Lodge

and ND Farmers Union.

While he was farming

he spent several winter

months in Phoenix, AZ

and in his later years he

spent those months in

Mesa, AZ. He enjoyed

spending time with his

friends at the pool.

Basil enjoyed reading in

his spare time and watch-

ing NASCAR Races and

other races on TV.

His loving family in-

cludes: Special Friend,

Evelyn Joan Tesdall and

many cousins. He was

preceded in death by

parents, William B. and

Rose A. Talley; and

several aunts and uncles.

Funeral Service: Thurs-

day, June 9, 2022, at 1

p.m. at First Baptist

Church, Glenburn.

Interment: Sunset

Memorial Gardens, Minot,

ND, Thursday 9, 2022 at

3:30 p.m.
