Tuesday, March 15, 2022
in her home surrounded
by her loving family.
Sharon was born on
July 8, 1942 in Minot to
Claude and Dorathy (Sco-
field) Vannett. She was
raised and educated in
Minot and graduated from
Minot High School.
Sharon married Edwin
Walter, a veteran of the
U.S. Marine Corps, on
April 15, 1961. They
made their home in Minot
where they raised their
family. Sharon was em-
ployed at Burger King for
twenty-nine years eventu-
ally becoming a shift
manager. She especially
enjoyed working with
Denise, Tim, Danny and
Don.
Sharon was a member
of the PTA for St. Leo’s
School and enjoyed bowl-
ing in her younger years.
Sharon and Edwin en-
joyed taking the RV on
casino trips with Elaine
and Jay and she especially
enjoyed spending time
with her grandchildren.
Sharon’s loving family
includes her husband of
60 years, Edwin; children:
Claudette (Mark) Fiest,
Mary (Mike) Workman,
Ed Walter Jr., Scott (Shir-
ley) Walter, David Walter
and Dorothy Walter;
grandchildren: Shiann,
Heather (Jordan), Brandon
(MaKayla), Michael (Pam),
Chris (Jenna), Missy
(James), Scottie, Bryan,
Brittany (Dan), Breanna
(Scott), Shane, Shaylee,
Krystal, Ashley (Alan),
Derrick, Braelynn and
Kyle (Stephanie);
numerous great grandchil-
dren; siblings: Larry
(Barb) Vannett, Maynard
(Mary) Vannett, Ronald
(Pam) Vannett;
brother-in-law: Rick
Russell and several
nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Sharon was preceded in
death by her father:
Claude Vannett, mother
and stepfather: Dorathy
and Dale Norberg, sister:
Claudia Russell and
granddaughter: Alexis
Walter.
