Leo D. Burgard
Jan. 7, 1962-Oct. 5, 2021
Leo D. Burgard, 59,
Minot, ND, passed away
Tuesday, October 5, 2021,
at Trinity Hospital in
Minot.
Leo Dean Burgard was
born January 7, 1962, at
St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Minot. He was the third of
seven children born to
Leo and Alice Burgard.
Leo was raised and edu-
cated in Minot. Leo
worked at Farroh Roof
Truss, Co. for many years
and most recently worked
with his brother doing
construction.
Leo was blessed with
the birth of his first child,
Dean, in 1982, Eric fol-
lowed in 1987, twins
Aaron and Allen came in
1991, and finally baby
Leah arrived in 2000. Leo
married Tanya Clark on
April 26, 2001. Leo en-
joyed spending time with
family and friends. He
was not the one to talk
about his feelings or be
overly affectionate, Leo
showed his family and
friends that he loved and
cared about them through
acts of service. If anyone
needed help with a pro-
ject or advice on the best
way to fix something – he
was right there. He en-
joyed good natured jok-
ing- you knew Leo liked
you if he picked on you.
Leo was involved in local
pool and dart leagues for
many years. Leo’s hob-
bies and interests cen-
tered around the out-
doors. He loved trips to
the lake, especially the
fishing and fireworks. The
loss of Leo is hard to
comprehend but the
memories he left us with
will be cherished always.
