Jerome Jaeger

Nov. 25, 1933-June 22, 2021

Jerome Albert Jaeger,

passed into eternal life

while at his home with

his family by his side on

June 22, 2021. He was a

man of deep and abiding

faith in his Lord and Sa-

vior Jesus Christ. He was

a humble and thoughtful

man as he lived his entire

life as an example to all as

a faithful and devoted ser-

vant of his church. Faith,

family, humility and in-

tegrity were the corner-

stones of Jerome’s life

here on earth.

Mass of Christian buri-

al will be held 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday, June 30 at

Church of St. Anne, 1321

Braman Ave., Bismarck.

Visitation will be held 5

to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at

Parkway Funeral Service,

2330 Tyler Pkwy,

Bismarck. A rosary/vigil

service will be held at

6:30 p.m.

Burial will be held at

St. Mary’s Cemetery,

Bismarck.

Jerome was born No-

vember 25, 1933, in Rug-

by. He was the youngest

child of 13 children born

to Lawrence and Eva

Jaeger. Jerome was reared

on the family farm near

Fillmore where he attend

ed his twelve years of

school.

Jerome met the love of

his life, Anastasia Arnold,

in 1955 at a dance. They

married on September 16,

1957, at Saint Boniface

Catholic Church in Es-

mond and they celebrated

64 wonderful years to-

gether. After their mar-

riage, they lived on the

family farm until 1959

when they moved to

Minot where they resided

for 53 years eventually

moving to Bismarck to be

close to family. Jerome at-

tended Minot Business

College and earned a de-

gree in Business Adminis

tration. He was employed

at Souris River Telephone

Company his entire pro-

fessional career. Jerome

held several office posi-

tions and retired in 1995

as the Human Resource

Director.

Jerome’s enduring faith

and his love for the Lord

were evident in his signi-

ficant contributions to his

faith community. He was

a loyal, generous and sus-

taining supporter of

Catholic education. One

of his proudest accom-

plishments was that all of

his children received an

enriching education at

Bishop Ryan High School.

He served as a member of

Bishop Ryan High School

board for several years, a

member of the Minot

Catholic School Founda-

tion, and a member of the

Minot Catholic Schools

Board. Jerome was also a

devoted member of Saint

John’s the Apostle Church

in Minot where he served

on the parish board for

many years. He also

served on the Hogan Heri-

tage Society Board of Re-

gents, he was a member of

Kiwanis Service Club, a

member of the Knights of

Columbus and a proud

and honorable member of

the 4th Degree Knights.

His passion to support,

build and grow the faith

in his church community

and in particular, Catholic

Schools was immeasur-

able.

He enjoyed many things

in life, especially a game

of golf or cards, following

the stock market and

spending time with

grandkids and

great-grandkids. His pres-

ence will be greatly

missed. He will live on in

our hearts forever.

Jerome was preceded in

death by his parents and

ten siblings, Joe, Louie,

John, Lena, Monica, Ber-

nadette, Barbara, Ann,

Margaret, and Theresa.

He is survived by Ann,

his wife of 64 years; chil-

dren, Pamela Moorman

(Phil), Randy (Jeanne),

Bryan, Mary Krogh (Har-

lan) and Paul (Michelle);

numerous grandchildren;

ten great-grandchildren;

and two siblings, Irene

Igers and Crist Jaeger.

Memorials may be

made to Bishop Ryan

High School and St.

Mary’s Catholic Schools.
