Elizabeth T. “Betty” Lit-
tlefield, age 93 of Cavalier,
ND and formerly of Graf-
ton and New Town, ND
passed away on Tuesday,
January 29, 2019 at Pem-
bina County Memorial
Hospital of Cavalier, ND.
Betty T. Paetz was born
February 24, 1925 in
Parshall, ND the daughter
of the late Theodore and
Martha (Rudnick) Paetz.
She attended rural school
near Parshall. Following
her education she worked
in Parshall and Detroit,
MI. She returned home
and married Robert Little-field. The couple moved
to New Town, ND. In the
early 1970’s the couple
owned and operated a
laundry mat. He passed
away in 1987. In 1988
Betty moved to Minot,
ND. In 2007 she moved to
Grafton, ND and lived
with her son until 2015
when she moved to
Wedgewood Manor in Ca-
valier, ND.
She was a member of
St. Anthony’s Catholic
Church and Altar Society
in New Town, Our Lady
of Grace Catholic Church
in Minot and St. John the
Evangelist Catholic
Church in Grafton. Betty
enjoyed fishing.
She is survived by her
son, Gary Littlefield, Graf-
ton, ND; sisters: Dolly
Rodgers, Minot, ND; Leo-
na Dirks, Bismarck, ND;
and Teeny Mortenson,
Billings, MT. Several
nieces and nephews also
survive. She was preced-
ed in death by her
parents, husband and si-
blings: Joe, Lawrence,
Edwin, Duane, Agnes,
Frances, Ann and Rita.
Mass of Christian Buri-
al will be Wednesday,
February 6, 2019 at 2:00
PM at St. John the
Evangelist Catholic
Church of Grafton, ND.
Visitation will be Tuesday
from 5-7 PM with a rosary
service at 7:00 PM at the
Tollefson Funeral Home
of Grafton. Friends may
also call at the church on
Wednesday for one hour
prior to the service. Inter-
ment will be at the New
Town Cemetery, New
Town, ND in the spring.
