Mary Cool

Mary Cool, 64, Velva,

ND, passed away in the

early morning of Friday

January 18th, 2019, at

Trinity Hospital, Minot

after a long struggle with

poor health. Her husband

and son were able to be at

her side during the final

hours.

Mary was born May 15,

1954, in Beardsfork, WV,

the daughter of Weltha

June Harvey and William

Nelson. She had three

brothers and two sisters.

She went to school in

West Virginia. She later

met Joseph Cool in Jack-

sonville Florida. They

were married and began a

long life together.

She and Joe stayed for a

short time in Ohio, where

most of the children were

born. They moved to West

Virginia for several years,

and then resided for a

long time in Phoenix. The

family came to the Velva

area in 2005.

Mary was recently diag-

nosed with cancer, but it

didn’t beat her. She was

loved by her friends, and

will be missed. We ask

her Lord and Savior Jesus

Christ to welcome her to

her heavenly home.

Mary is survived by:

Joe, her husband of 38

years; a brother, Eddie, a

sister, Bettie, and four

children.

Mary was preceded in

death by: her parents, her

sister Debbie, her brothers

Bill and Bob, and her

grandson Clayton.

Services: A funeral ser-

vice will be held at St.

Cecilia Catholic Church,

Velva, at 11 AM on Tues-

day, January 29th. Lunch

following.
