David Daniel Kuk

David Daniel Kuk of In-
dianapolis, Indiana died
peacefully on July 1, 2018
after an extended struggle
with cancer. Dave was
born in Rugby, North
Dakota on September 18,
1951 along with triplet
brothers Donald and
Douglas to Marie and
Louis Kuk.
Dave was raised in Ban-
try North Dakota and gra-
duated from Upham high
school and the University
of North Dakota in 1973
with a BA in business ad-
ministration. Shortly
thereafter Dave joined
Central Soya as a grain
trader in Minneapolis. His
career took him to various
cities in Iowa, Ohio and
Indiana. In 1994 he
founded Wellington Com-
modities in Indianapolis
which he operated until
his death. Dave was high-
ly respected within his in-
dustry. He taught at vari-
ous institutions, advised
many companies,
cooperatives and farmers
and served on many
boards throughout his
career.
Dave was active in
many charitable causes
throughout his life
focused mainly on Carib-
bean and South American
countries. He had a spe-
cial love for Columbia,
South America, and
spent significant time
there. He became profi-
cient in Spanish.
Dave is survived by son
Elliott, daughter Annie
(Eric) Johnson, grand
daughter Noelle, brother
Ken (Nancy) Kuk, sisters-
in-law Myrna Kuk and
Kathie Kuk, former wife,
Gail Kuk plus many
nieces, nephews and
friends. He was preceded
in death by his parents
and brothers, Bob,
Donald and Douglas.
Services will be held at
Our Lady of Grace
Church in Noblesville, In-
diana on July 26 at 11:00
am with visitation at
10:00 am. In lieu of
flowers, contributions can
be made to: Haiti Minis-
tries, Our Lady of Grace
