David Jerome Miller,

56, rural Minot died on

Saturday, May 19, 2018 in

a Minot hospital.

David was born on May

9, 1962 in Minot to Doran

and Connie (Brooks) Mill-

er. He was raised on a

farm in McKinley Town-

ship of Ward County,

north of Minot, attended

Minot Public Schools, gra-

duated from Minot High

School in 1980 and at-

tended North Dakota State

University in Fargo for

two years.

Following his educa-

tion, he returned to the

family farm where he

farmed with his father

and brother-in-law. David

was once married to

LeeAnn McIntyre. They

raised small grains and

sunflowers. More recent-

ly, he had spent time dur-

ing the winter months

with his father in Mesa,

AZ.

David was a member of

First Lutheran Church –

Minot, Minot Chamber

Chorale, Club de Skinau-

tique of Lake Metigoshe

and the Love of Christ

Lutheran Church Choir-

Mesa. As a student he

was a member of the

Minot High School Swim

Team and this led to him

coaching in the swim

clubs of Minot and Fargo.

He especially enjoyed

playing the acoustic gui-

tar, singing, and perform-

ing water skiing tricks for

the neighbors at Sunset

Bay of Lake Metigoshe.

David is survived by

his daughter: Hannah

(Michael) Britton, sta-

tioned with the U.S. Navy

at NAS Patuxent River; fa-

ther: Doran Miller of rural

Minot; siblings: Faye Mill-

er of Mill Valley, Califor-

nia, Kim (Brad) Fisher of

Salt Lake City Utah, and

Janet (Chad) Parton of

Minot; brother-in-law:

Blaire Olafson of Glen-

burn, and several nieces,

nephews and cousins.

David was preceded in

death by his mother: Con-

nie Miller and sister: Sue

Olafson.

Celebration of the Life

of David Miller: Thurs-

day, May 24, 2018 at

11:00 a.m. in First Luth-

eran Church – Minot.

Interment will be in Im-

manuel Lutheran

Cemetery – rural Surrey.

Visitation: Wednesday

from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00

p.m. in Thomas Family

Funeral Home – Minot.
