Deidra Machele Brown,
52, Minot, died Wednes-
day, January 24, 2018 at
Mercy Gilbert Medical
Center in Gilbert, AZ after
a courageous fight with
breast cancer.
Deidra was born April
15, 1965 in Claremore,
Oklahoma, the daughter
of Michael and Beverly
Morris. She was raised
with her sister Karen in
Ripley, Oklahoma. She ac-
cepted the Lord Jesus
Christ into heart during a
Sunday school class at the
age of twelve. She gra-
duated from Ripley High
School in 1983, where she
ran track and played
basketball. She continued
her education at Oklaho-
ma Baptist University for
a short time and
transferred Oklahoma
State University in Still-
water, where she graduat
ed with a degree in Busi-
ness Management in 1988.
It was here that she met
the love of her life, Joel
Brown and they were un-
ited in marriage on Au-
gust 25, 1990 in Stillwa-
ter.
They lived in Kansas
and Oklahoma for a short
time before moving to
Minot in 1995. Deidra was
a stay-at-home mother
while raising their five
children. During this
time, she also served as a
Pastor’s wife with Abun-
dant Life Community
Church. In addition, she
worked at Knowles Jewel-
ry and the Center for Fam-
ily Medicine in Minot.
Deidra was a member of
Calvary Church in Ryder,
North Dakota, where she
pioneered a Bible Memory
Verse Club and mentored
several ladies within the
group. Her biggest joy was
spending time with her
children and grandchil-
dren. She will forever be
remembered by her posi-
tively infectious and spicy
personality.
Deidra’s loving family

(Cameron) Dostert of
Bismarck, Nathanael
Brown, Josiah Brown & Ja-
son Brown all of Minot;
grandchildren, Jaime,
Emma, Jensen, Beau, Ta-
tum & Dak; parents,
Michael & Beverly Morris
of Ripley, OK; sister,
Karen Underwood of Tul-
sa, OK.

3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at
Our Redeemer’s Church,
Minot.
Interment: Sunset
Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: Friday,
February 2nd from
