Glenis (Glen) Lambert
Johnson, age 76, passed
away on December 17th,
2017 at Sacred Heart Hos-
pital in Spokane, Wa.
He was born in Aitkin,
MN on November 4, 1941
to the late Orvis and
Genevieve (Retterath)
Johnson as one of 10 chil-
dren. Glen was a 1958 gra-
duate of Minot High
School, and served in the
US Navy from 1958-1962
on the USS Shasta.
Glen was a skilled Iron-
worker, owning Johnson
Tower Service in Minot,
North Dakota, and then as
a dedicated member of
Ironworker Local Union
#14 in Spokane, Wa.
Glen was a master crafts-
man and took joy in creat-
ing items to make life
beautiful and be helpful.
When not spending time
in his shop creating, com-
mon stories his family
and friends heard were
about cross-country road
trips to visit his loved
ones, and in these last
years, quest-like journeys
to visit as many national
parks as possible. Glen
was a faithful servant to
God and his church, and
lived the lessons of grati-
tude and generosity.
Glen is survived by: his
five children, Glenn (Deb-
bie) Johnson, Joshua
(Krista) Johnson, Ciara
(Adam) Johnson, Jeremiah
(Jessie) Johnson, and Ariel
(Daniel) Swift; his 8
grandchildren; Rachel, Ni-
cholas, Sarah, Benjamin,
Cecilia, Harper, Kian, and
Milo; 2 great grandchil-
dren; and 6 siblings Caro-
lyn, Linda, Betty, Larry,
Connie, and Allen.
Glen was preceded in
death by: his parents and
3 siblings, Genevieve,
Orvis Jr., and Mary.
Service: will be on
Thursday, December 21st
at 1:30pm at the Washing-ton State Veterans
Cemetery at 21702 W.
Espanola Rd, Medical
Lake, WA 99022. Recep-
tion following service to
be at Mosaic Church at
3pm, address below.
