Minot Area Council of the Arts and Taube Museum of Art have teamed up for a post-apocalyptic Halloween experience and seek volunteers to bring the scares to life. House of Horrors: Post Apocalypse Before Christmas returns to Magic City Alley, Central Avenue, in downtown Minot for four nights. BISMARCK – North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports established a new September boarding record with 104,380 passengers, the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission reported. This surpassed the previous September high of 103,559 passengers set in 2025. The record was achieved despite a reduction in available airline capacity, according to the commission. Assault results in 10-year sentence

A Minot man has been sentenced to serve no less than two years for a February aggravated assault that resulted in serious bodily injury, a Class C felony. Samuel Tyler Mauck Velasquez, 34, Minot, was sentenced to 10 years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and must serve three years, with a minimum mandatory sentence of two years and credit for 231 days served. A Minot woman faces multiple felony charges in connection with an alleged intentional duplex fire that resulted in serious injury. Tonya Kate Legard, 56, is charged with four counts of endangering by fire or explosion-danger of death or bodily injury-extreme indifference, a Class B felony.
