Minot Police set fall impound vehicle auction

The Minot Police Department will host its 2026 fall impound vehicle auction Thursday, Sept. 24, at the City of Minot Impound Lot, 1025 31st St. SE. Seifert Auction Service will conduct the auction. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., and the auction begins at 5:30 p.m. The auction will feature vehicles impounded by the Minot Police Department. Buyers must remove purchased vehicles within two hours of the conclusion of the auction. All payments must be made by cash or check. The list of vehicles to be auctioned can be found on the City of Minot or Seifert Auction websites.

Revitalization zone created to aid affordable housing

An area in northwest Minot has been designated as a revitalization zone for housing and economic development. The Minot City Council voted Monday, Sept. 21, to adopt the Northwest Minot Targeted Housing and Community Revitalization Plan, creating the designation at the request of Beyond Shelter, a Fargo-based affordable housing developer with past and current projects in Minot.
