ND issues order against AI company

BISMARCK – Insurance Commissioner Jon Godfread announced Friday, Sept. 25, his office has issued a stop order to Shayan Mashatian and his companies, Silverberry Group, LLC and WoundScribe AI Corp. The companies were soliciting investments without properly registering their company in accordance with North Dakota Century Code, according to Godfread. LANSFORD – The opportunity to watch snowmobiles drag-race while supporting a rural fire department is coming up Saturday, Oct. 10, at the seventh annual Snowmobile Race & Vintage Show in Lansford. The Lansford Fire Department hosts the event each year as a fundraiser to help keep up with equipment expenses and the need for firefighter gear. Fire Capt. Probation ordered for vehicle entry

A Minot man has been sentenced to five years with the North Dakota Department of Corrections, with 51 days to be served, after pleading guilty Sept. 4 to unlawful entry into a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia, both Class C felonies. He will receive credit for the 51 days already served. October blood drives scheduled in area

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Vitalant is encouraging donors to help ensure blood and platelet supplies are available for patients undergoing cancer treatment. About a quarter of the U.S. blood supply and more than half of donated platelets are used to support cancer patients, many of whom require transfusions during chemotherapy, surgery and recovery.
