A Minot man has been sentenced to five years with the North Dakota Department of Corrections, with 51 days to be served, after pleading guilty Sept. 4 to unlawful entry into a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia, both Class C felonies. He will receive credit for the 51 days already served.
Drake Edmund Jasinski, 29, was arrested on Sept. 5, 2025, after Minot Police received a report from a vehicle owner that an unknown male was inside her vehicle in northwest Minot. Police found damage to the interior of the vehicle, which Jasinski had attempted to start, the court affidavit stated. He also was found to possess drug paraphernalia.
Jasinski was sentenced in North Central District Court in Minot to three years supervised probation, a chemical dependency evaluation and to have no contact with a certain individual or go within 150 of the person or residence. Court fees total $525.
A misdemeanor charge of giving false information to police was dismissed.
