Drone flights observed in Minot and the area last week were associated with system inspections by Xcel Energy. According to Xcel, United Utilities Services conducted drone inspections of its transmission equipment in the Minot area from Aug. 25-29. The inspections assessed equipment condition for wildfire mitigation and overall system integrity. Ground crews also were working in the area to perform related inspections.
