Music camp performances scheduled
DUNSEITH – Performances from the second session at the International Music Camp will be held Saturday, June 27.
Creative writing readings will start in the Burdick Center for the Performing Arts at 12:30 p.m..
The drumline exhibition will start in the Masonic Auditorium at 1 p.m., and the band concert will be at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Darrin Oeherking from the University of Saskatchewan will conduct the high school bands and Jason Rygg of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will conduct the middle school bands. The drama production will round out the day at 2 p.m. in the Burdick Center for the Performing Arts.
The Friday Night Festival of the Arts Performance on June 26 will feature IMC’s in-residence quintet, performing a variety of repertoire from baroque through jazz. The group consists of Dr. Cory Driscoll, University of North Dakota, and Scott Guidry, Bemidji State University, trumpet; Arlene Shiplett, Saskatoon Symphony, french horn; Dr. Joel Pugh, University of North Dakota, trombone; and Dr. Jacob Grewe, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, tuba.
All events at the International Music Camp are subject to the International Peace Garden gate fee.
