Pedestrian cited after incident
A pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning, May 6, according to the Mint Police Department.
Officers responded to the report shortly before 9 a.m. and arrived at the scene at the 600 block of 28th Avenue Southwest along with the Minot Fire Department and emergency responders. The pedestrian was transported to a Minot hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Minot Police, the investigation determined the driver was not impaired and was operating the vehicle in a lawful manner at the time of the incident.
The pedestrian was reportedly cited for a pedestrian roadway violation after it was determined the pedestrian had entered/traveled within the roadway in an unsafe manner and outside of a designated crossing area.
