ALEXANDER — The City of Alexander announced the open house and ribbon cutting of the new Bright Minds Daycare has been scheduled for Saturday, April 25. This milestone marks a new chapter for the community and a significant investment in early childhood care and development in western North Dakota, according to the city.
The event will take place at Bright Minds Daycare, located at 1115 Bruegger St. in Alexander. Food will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m., provided by The Little Griddle Cafe and sponsored by ONEOK, with beverages provided by the City of Alexander. Speeches and the ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at noon, followed by tours of the facility.
This project represents a collaborative effort among key community partners and contributors, including the City of Alexander, McKenzie County, McKenzie County Economic Development, Small Business Development Center, JLG Architects, First Dakota Enterprises, Houston Engineering and Bright Minds Daycare as a consultant.
Local leaders emphasize that Bright Minds Daycare will serve as a valuable asset, not only to the City of Alexander, but also to McKenzie County and the broader western North Dakota region.
“Childcare is foundational to workforce recruitment and retention, and we are excited about the additional childcare capacity in the area,” McKenzie County Economic Development Director Meghan Taunton said,
With a capacity of 70 children, the facility is expected to help meet the needs of working families while supporting continued economic development across the region.
Residents, families and regional partners are encouraged to attend and help celebrate.
