Power of the Purse awarded $33,060 to local organizations during its 2025 fall grant round, supporting programs that serve women, children and families across the Minot area.
Grant recipients were recognized during a ceremonial check presentation held this week.
Funding from the grant round supported Souris Valley United Way for its Backpack Buddies program, Full Steam Ahead for 2026 programming, Central Middle School for its bus pass program, the Minot Curling Club for its “Curling for the Cure” event, and Jim Hill and Central Middle Schools to help provide holiday meals for middle school families in need.
Power of the Purse invests in programs that address critical needs, promote opportunity and enhance quality of life for individuals and families in the Minot area. The grants reflect the organization’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the community through collective giving.
Power of the Purse operates under the Minot Area Community Foundation. The charitable giving circle was formed in 2002 and has invested more than $530,000 into local programs benefiting women and children.
