Medora Masterpiece contest to celebrate patriotism
MEDORA – Medora Masterpiece, launched last year to promote local artists, will open for 2026 submissions from any U.S. artists on Saturday, Jan. 31, according to the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation.
This year’s theme celebrates patriotism in the Medora Musical and was chosen to help commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States.
Art pieces should celebrate the essence of pride in the USA through music and performance, focusing on unity and shared values. Participants should express their creativity and interpretation of these ideas in ways that honor the spirit of patriotism without delving into specific partisan issues.
Submissions will be open until April 14. A special committee will select the top three art pieces. Those three selections will then be opened to the public for voting on Medora’s social media pages. The winner will be announced on May 5.
The winner will receive a prize package that includes a four-day vacation in Medora. The winner will have the opportunity to reproduce their artwork and display it for guests of the Medora Musical.
Medora Masterpiece is open to all U.S. artists aged 18 and older. Submit artwork online or mail to the Medora office.
