WCAIA offers scholarships, youth program grants
The Ward County Ag Improvement Association (WCAIA) announces the availability of two $500 scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary education in an agricultural field of study. Annual availability and amount of these scholarships is contingent upon the approval of WCAIA Board of Directors.
According to WCAIA information, to qualify, applicants must be residents of Ward County, enrolled as a full-time student, and between the ages of a high school senior and college freshman.
The WCAIA is also offering grant funds to support youth involvement in agriculture and development of agricultural skills. Funding may be used for general operating support, travel, project support, start-up costs and some other related activities. Both youth and adults are eligible to apply for this grant.
Scholarship and grant applications are available at the Ward County Extension office in Minot. Completed applications must be returned to the Ward County Extension office no later than Feb. 15 for consideration.
