State awards funding to Minot entities
Two Minot entities have been awarded funding from the North Dakota Development Fund, according to the N.D. Department of Commerce.
Oswill Properties LLC, Minot, will receive a $200,000 loan to purchase a building and expand its child care facility.
Scranton Holding Company Inc., Minot, received a nearly $2.65 million investment to complete FEL 2 and FEL 3 phases of its project. The company was awarded $3 million in 2024 for facility design and permitting. North American Iron, which plans to construct a pig iron plant in Minot, is a subsidiary of Scranton Holding Company.
“Each investment we make through the NDDF is a step toward a more resilient and diversified North Dakota economy,” said Commerce Economic Development & Finance Deputy Director and Head of Investments and Innovation Shayden Akason in a news release. “By advancing innovation, infrastructure and industry growth, we’re helping communities thrive and businesses scale for long-term success.
