This past month of October, Minot’s average temperature was 49 degrees, which is 5.1 degrees above the 118-year long-term average of 43.9 degrees, according to Austin Kraklau, weather recorder at the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.

He said the lowest temperature of the month was 26 degrees, which occurred on Wednesday, Oct 29. The high of 85 degrees occurred on both Oct. 1 and 4.

The total moisture for the month was 2.71 inches, which is 1.62 inches above the long- term average of 1.09 inches, Kraklau said.

He said there was no snowfall for the month of October. The long-term snow average is 2.4 inches.
