Tioga Medical Center names new medical director

David Petrosian

TIOGA – Tioga Medical Center announced it has named Dr. David Petrosian to its growing team of providers. In addition to seeing patients, Petrosian will serve as the facility’s medical director.

Petrosian earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glen Head, New York, and completed his family medicine residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York. He worked as an urgent care physician at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, and as a traveling physician at a federally qualified health center in Boston, Massachusetts, providing outpatient primary care. Additionally, he worked with Forest Hills Dermatology Group in Queens, New York, on clinical drug trials.

His clinical interests include dermatology and longevity medicine.

As medical director, Petrosian will oversee provider operations, guide quality improvement initiatives and support the ongoing development of patient-centered care across Tioga Medical Center’s hospital, clinic and long-term care settings.

Petrosian is the second new provider to join Tioga Medical Center this year. A third provider is expected to begin later this fall, the medical center announced.
