A 36-year-old Minot man has been arrested by Minot Police in connection with a mobile home fire.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, about 5:46 a.m., the Minot Police Department was dispatched to a southeast Minot residence for a report of individuals burning garbage outside of the residence.

According to Minot Police information, through the officers initial investigation, they located evidence consistent with Molotov cocktails being thrown, which had started a fire.

Shortly after, a fire began to engulf the mobile home, believed to have been caused by another Molotov cocktail thrown inside the residence. Four individuals exited the home, and it was later determined that one of them was suspected of starting the fire.

The Minot Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished the blaze.

Raymond D. Flynn was arrested and charged with three counts of endangering by fire or explosion-extreme indifference, a Class B felony. He was transported to the Ward County Jail.

The incident remains under investigation with assistance from the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
