No video shown at Minot airport

A video from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem related to the government shutdown is not being shown at Minot International Airport.

Airport Director Jennifer Eckman said the video can’t be entered onto the screens in the airport checkpoint area. The only screen potentially usable would be a screen on which advertising is displayed, and the City of Minot’s policy states no political advertising is allowed. Any change to that policy must be made by the Minot City Council.

“People of all walks of life, all nationalities, travel through the airport. We try to be as politically neutral as possible,” Eckman said.

Starting at $2.99/week.
