Car wash’s Charity Day benefits Independence, Inc.
Independence Inc. will receive $1,146 from Tidal Wave Auto Spa’s annual Charity Day event, held on Friday, Sept. 19.
Tidal Wave announced the funds were raised through the allocation of 50% of car wash proceeds at its South Broadway location in Minot that day, along with generous donations from customers and community members.
Independence, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to live independently and fully participate in their communities. Funds raised will help support the BEYOND Program, which empowers youth with disabilities to build life skills, gain confidence and prepare for independent living.
“Partnerships like this make it possible for young people with disabilities to discover their potential and take real steps toward independence. We’re so grateful for the community support that helps make that happen,” said Tonya Parker, director of Community Relations for Independence, Inc., in a news release.
The Minot car wash donated the other 50% of wash proceeds on Sept. 19 to Tidal Wave’s corporate philanthropic partner, Annandale Village.
“We’re proud to make a difference for these incredible organizations during Charity Day and raise funds that help them to continue the important and impactful work they are doing within our communities,” Tidal Wave CEO and founder Scott Blackstock said in the release.
